Introduction

This article shows you how to obtain an object access key, also called a secret key, for accessing the ViPR object store.

Object store clients can authenticate a user within a tenant by supplying the user's domain credentials and then requesting an object access key. In addition, ViPR provides a self-service capability that allows users to log in at the ViPR UI and request an object access key that they can subsequently use to authenticate their requests.

Create an object access (secret) key

Each object storage user requires their user id, from LDAP or Active Directory, and an object access key.
