Tips for getting the best search experience:

  1. Use the Scope by Product filter to the lower left of the search text box
Specifying the product that you are looking for is a quick way to filter your search results. Start typing your product name in the field labeled "Scope by Product" and the auto-fill feature will present you with products that match your text. Searches that leverage product family selections will return all content that matches the specified product family and child products for that family.
  2. Utilize the Advanced Search options
To the lower right of the search text box, there is an "Advanced options" link. By selecting this link, the advanced search options panel will appear. These options include the ability to specify date ranges, language, title/abstract vs full text searches and dedicated Boolean text boxes for:
    • All of these words: This setting requires the search engine to only return results that contain ALL of your search terms. (i.e. term1 AND term2 AND term3)
    • This exact phrase: This setting requires the search engine to only return results that contain the exact phase you are searching for. This is the same as surrounding your search phrase with quotation marks ("like this").
    • Any of these words: This setting requires the search engine to return results that contain ANY of your search terms. (i.e. term1 OR term2 OR term3)
    • None of these words: A search using this field will filter out all search results that contain the terms specified in the field.
  3. Try the filter options
Select filter options for Product, Resource Type, Solutions, Services, Industries, Vendor and Last Updated in order to refine your search result set. All of the fields support multiple filter selections except for Product and Last Updated areas.
