EMC considers EMC Partners to be true extensions of EMC's own sales force.

The channel is an extension that has attained unique knowledge of their customer base in their role as trusted reseller. EMC wanted to find a way to bring the expertise of the channel together with its own expertise in developing products to deliver solutions that customers want.

This evolution started when EMC introduced channel-only products like VNXe and Data Domain 160. The evolution of EMC's relationship with the channel has continued in the form of VSPEX Proven Infrastructure, the first channel-only solution from EMC.

Enabling Choice

Choice is what enables channel partners to address the challenges customers look to them to solve every day. VSPEX provides the framework for EMC to meet in the channel with its technology partners in a way that enables choice for the channel and choice for the channel's customers.

To ensure channel partners are prepared to deliver solutions for customers, EMC developed not just the reference architectures upon which VSPEX are based, but also a complete package of materials to make selling and deploying a VSPEX solution a quick and efficient process. In addition, partners are able to leverage the investment made by EMC in VSPEX labs to test and validate their own varieties of VSPEX. EMC can also provide complete financing for VSPEX, to make it easier for customers to buy a VSPEX.
