An interactive dialogue was established between regional scientists, entrepreneurs, investors and the heads of federal and regional authorities of the Russian Federation, development institutions, and international investors. From the 200 start-up projects presented at the Russian Startup Tour, 35 were selected to take part in the competition at Startup Village and get the opportunity to work with leading international experts and investors.
EMC Russia CoE participated in the Startup Village Conference. Gil Goren (VP, Global New Business Development), Slava Nesterov (GM, Russia CoE) and Inga Petryaevskaya (Sr. new Business development Manager, Russia CoE) attended Skolkovo Startup Village on May 26th-28th.
5200 people, 1800 companies, 320 investors, 300 journalists & TV crews from 48 countries attended this event.
Gil Goren presented at IT Cluster Panel “Market Trends in IT”. Gil explained how Big Data analytics, Software Defined Data Centers and Security are changing the way of doing business.
There was lots of networking with technology startups, venture funds and EMC partners including Universities during this event. Innovators and entrepreneurs had the chance to interact with local and international investors and major tech companies, got informed about existing support mechanisms by key participants in the innovation ecosystem, and attended educational sessions: high level workshops, unique lectures, live discussions with the legends of tech entrepreneurship, and got one-on-one consultations directly from the source. All of this was available to startup teams, present at the innovation city, in an informal and non-stop mode.
