Hopkinton, Mass., Friday, May 26, 2006 -

EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage, today announced that EMC Documentum eRoom® 7.3 and EMC Documentum Business Process Management (BPM) software received the coveted AIIM E-DOC Magazine AIIM 2006 Best of Show Awards. Both products were recognized for demonstrating exceptional quality and evidence of significant ROI (return on investment) potential.

"Collaborative environments have traditionally been used for unstructured processes such as managing project teams, developing new products, and engaging with external clients," said Dave DeWalt, President, EMC Software Group. "By integrating collaboration software with BPM, many manual steps involved in these processes can now be automated, enabling customers to further improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs and improve output quality. It is a tremendous honor to be a recipient of the 'Best of Show' award in both the collaboration and BPM/workflow categories."

Bryant Duhon, Editor at AIIM E-DOC Magazine said, "EMC continues its strong industry leadership position in enterprise content management by being selected as the winner in both our collaboration and BPM/workflow categories for having a strong set of products."

Documentum BPM software enables organizations to increase productivity, minimize errors, reduce costs, streamline activities and quickly adapt processes in response to changing business conditions. It defines, models and manages business processes consistently and reliably across multiple organizations, systems and applications. On June 8, EMC will host an online event on BPM. Registration information for this event can be found at
