EMC and Oracle to Offer NAS Services

EMC Proven Solution Delivers Simple, Cost-Effective EMC Networked Attached Storage for Oracle Environments

EMC Corporation and Oracle Corp. (NASDAQ:ORCL), today announced availability of a new joint service available to help customers easily deploy Oracle® Database with EMC network attached storage (NAS) technology. The Oracle Database with EMC: Accelerator for NAS is the third in a series of EMC solutions available from EMC Global Services and Oracle Consulting.

Oracle Database with EMC: Accelerator for NAS is a service engagement that will enable customers to quickly implement Oracle Database on EMC's Celerra NS600 NAS systems. Service professionals from EMC Global Services and Oracle Consulting will work together with customers to design, deploy and optimize EMC's enterprise NAS systems and software with Oracle Database technology, providing a simple, cost-effective alternative to traditional direct-attached storage for small database environments.

Oracle Database with EMC: Accelerator for NAS is the third in a suite of offerings providing new and existing customers with a quick and easy path to achieve the cost-efficiencies and compelling database performance advantages of running their Oracle Database technology with EMC Automated Networked Storage solutions.
