"Through EMC's continued support, we have already been able to obtain needed equipment, technology and training for local fire departments," says Denis Leary, President of The Leary Firefighters Foundation. "Massachusetts firefighters put themselves at risk everyday for us. They should be provided with the best resources we have to offer."

After last year's event, The Leary Firefighters Foundation presented a $350,000 check to the Worcester Firefighters Local 1009 Equipment Fund at the Worcester Fire Headquarters, the site of a state-of-the-art training facility that will be completed this September. "EMC is pleased to lend its support again this year to this worthwhile Foundation," said EMC's Chief Financial Officer Bill Teuber. "With more than a thousand employees living in Worcester County, EMC is proud to join Denis Leary in his commitment to supporting firefighters — starting in our own backyard and growing nationally."

As one of the largest companies and employers in Massachusetts, EMC has a long-standing commitment to investing in the local communities, especially those organizations and charities that strengthen public safety. EMC has been involved with the Leary Foundation since its inception, and also supports programs to improve math and science education, organizations that work with children and families, and programs that promote diversity.
