EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC), the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, announced today that the N.C. This recognition is for companies in North Carolina that voluntarily demonstrate a mature environmental management system and progressive environmental performance and pledge to continue that commitment.

“Our Environmental Stewardship Initiative encourages organizations with a commitment to environmental protection to find ways to become more effective stewards of our natural resources,” said William G. Ross Jr., Secretary of North Carolina’s DENR. “EMC is being recognized for its commendable sustainability initiatives to date, as well as for its commitment to systematically advancing environmental sustainability in the future.”

With a manufacturing plant in Apex, a research and development facility in Research Triangle Park, and sales and services offices in Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh, EMC’s North Carolina operations are crucial for delivering the world’s most comprehensive information infrastructure systems, software and services to customers around the world.
