Support for Linux

We are collaborating with IBM to support Linux as its use becomes more widespread. Specifically, we're working to ensure that our market-leading EMC Symmetrix DMX-3 series and CLARiiON CX3 UltraScale series networked storage systems support Linux running on the IBM System p (POWER) architecture. By supporting Linux on IBM System p hardware, we protect your investment and offer you more flexibility as well as the opportunity to leverage the many advantages of POWER servers.

In 2007, EMC plans to provide Linux on POWER support for Symmetrix and CLARiiON storage systems and for Symmetrix software and EMC ControlCenter. We expect that support for CLARiiON software and EMC PowerPath will be available in 2008.
