Remote Assessment of Fault Tolerance
Many cloud storage providers replicate or otherwise store user’s data with redundancy to protect against hardware failures. These policies are often communicated to clients, but no proofs of proper configuration are made available. Remote Assessment of Fault Tolerance (RAFT) is an efficient means by which clients can measure the redundancy with which their data is stored and ensure proper configuration at the cloud storage provider.
