EM' Gregg Ambulos Named CRN Channel Chief for Driving Record Year of Partner Growth
Ambulos Honored for Spearheading Significant Enhancements to EM' Channel Program
EMC Corporation today announced that Gregg Ambulos, Senior Vice President, Global Channel Operations and Americas Channel Sales, has been named a Channel Chief by Everything Channel's CRN. Channel Chiefs are leaders in creating effective channel programs for solution providers. They consistently defend, promote and execute effective channel partner programs and strategies.
Ambulos has been chosen as a 2010 Channel Chief for his leadership of EMC's global go-to-market strategy for the company's solution provider and distribution partners, including overseeing several new programs which have increased VAR enablement, service delivery, and partner profitability. Ambulos launched significant enhancements to the EMC® Velocity™ Solution Provider Program, designed to help EMC resellers differentiate their business, provide more value to customers, and supply opportunities to increase overall profitability. These changes include simplified program entry, time-efficient training, access to EMC's broad portfolio of industry-leading information infrastructure products and solutions, and new Specialty designations that expand partners' expertise and meet their unique business objectives.
This year's Channel Chiefs were chosen by the Everything Channel editorial staff based on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue generated through partners, willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years dedicated to channel activities.
"I'm honored to be named a CRN Channel Chief for 2010," said Gregg Ambulos. "EMC is dedicated to the success of our partner community and we'll continue to invest and enhance our program based upon the feedback we receive from our partners. In 2010 we enhanced the Velocity program by making it easier to join and gain access to EMC's broad portfolio of information infrastructure products and solutions, delivered time-efficient training, and created new Specialty designations that increase partners' opportunities to deliver more value-added services."
"Being named a Channel Chief is one of the most prestigious honors in the IT industry. This year's Channel Chiefs offer tremendous insight into the who's who of the Channel," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel. "Top channel executives consistently ensure that the Channel's voice is heard when strategic decisions are being made and continually nurture mutually profitable relationships. We applaud this year's Channel Chiefs for their successful partner programs and strategies."
